>>191374I used to use live bait (ragworm) along with frozen sandeels and squid, i still do sometimes if I'm going with friends or fishing for a longer period of time. I also found that it was quite often inconvenient to get the live bait as tackle shops around here are open from about 8am-5pm and I'm usually at work during those times. Also it's quite expensive if you just want to walk down to the coast after work and fish for just an hour or so.
Where I live I don't have a garden t dig my own worms but I guess I could go and dig some rag up during low tide but again I think I'd rather pay for them than spend time digging them.
Nowadays I like to fish out of the way spots that often are a few miles away from any roads so I tend to walk to them or use my mountain bike. Having a telescopic rod and a few spinners and surface poppers is lightweight and easy to fit in my backpack or camping kit.
I've not really used soft bait before so I'm wanting to give it a go, I like the idea of the worms and sand eel looking ones as I could have a small bag full of softbait along with a few weighted hooks or jig heads that are interchangeable and that's pretty much all I need to take :)
>>191252Thanks for the tips I will startwashing my gear after fishing as I know the reason why all my lures get all rusted up so quick is for that reason.
>>191454Just got back from a quick fish, I could see a lot of fish jumping out the water this evening, but nothing was taking my lures, bad times.
>>191455Thanks will have a watch of those now
