Outside of the tourist area is high-grade Forestry with a lot of roads. Did a hike from Feldberg to the Mathisleweiher, meet a few cyclists and boomers. Found a comfy spot on the Hill North of the Mathisleweiher but decided after few hours of doing nothing to do a Night Hike back.
Not without reason they call this forest "Black" without a good light you lost. I spot three deer and a fox.
So the Feldberg or Blackforest general is great for a day hike but too much boomer shit. You will be disappointed. Few areas is nice but it's just a little bubble. I'm trying to migrate next year to the Alps.
