Does anyone else here have secret, special places in nature they go to? Places that you found a long time ago and always draw you back. Post em if you have any.

For me, it's this place in Raven Run nature preserve in central KY. It's half a mile up a remote creek drainage with no trail, so most people don't know it's there. The creek drains down into this massive pool, about 5 feet deep and 50 feet wide. It's surrounded on both sides by steep cliffs, the water is clear with several types of fish living in it, and it's just a magical area. A few years ago they even found a beaver cutting on a tree nearby, and beavers are almost unheard of in the area. It's the kind of place that makes me want to protect the wilderness.

This is a bad pic, but it's the only one I could find. The water is usually clearer than that.
