I'm going to pike knob next week. Maybe still some red leaves on the lowest elevation trees, but either way a nice view. It's supposed to be in the 60s so really nice weather anyways.
I mean I guess I could still do my planned Rohrbaugh Cliffs hike at Dolly Sods but honestly getting up there is a shlep and Pike Knob is right outside of Franklin off of 33 so its much easier to access I think.
In short, this citidiot is headed your way soon and there's NOTHING you can do about it.
Also there's some hikes that make much more sense because the views are less obscured after the leaves fall. I think Red Spruce Knob south of Tea Creek Backcountry is supposed to be a good example of that.
