How do i make cordage, or anything that can be used as rudimentary rope when out in the forest? I just need something that can tie together branches.

Tree bark if you're innawoods
Nettles if you're not.
Hemps a good cord too.

Just bash plants with sitck or a smooth rock till they fall apart into long strands.
Roll strands in opposite directions round each other.
Repeat for length and girth to taste.

Use google. Plenty of videos on how to utilize tree bark and make it into cordage. You could also use leather.

It doesn't need to be that complicated, thin vines can be used as is, and with minimal work so can thin green branches moreso if it's just for something that isn't meant to be "permanent" they'll do the job.
