>>1924158I'm not sure it things are different for younger guys these days, but I always felt unwelcome in all the various crowds and activities that interested me growing up. Whether it's true or not under the surface, it certainly felt that way. I suspect this is exactly why there are gay ghettos in cities and a bizarrely insulated gay culture that just doesn't mesh with general/mainstream culture.
I've gotten stuck in this limbo where I don't identify at all with the LGBT scene but none of the people who enjoy the same hobbies as me like gay people at all.

If people didn't feel like they had to run and hide they wouldn't, there wouldn't be gay neighborhoods and gay holidays. When you're in your 20s or older and gain your independence it's too late to reverse the damage, they've already fucked your head up.
