Has anyone here hiked up El Capitán? Have you done it in winter?

I am planning on going this week with some friends, and it will be my first time topping el cap. This will also be my first winter hike. Theres likely going to be snow, and I assume part of the hike will be in darkness because of how long it will take. So temps will probably range from 40F down below freezing.

What should I wear, what gear beyond normal day hike stuff should I bring?
