Anyway, yes I've been there a few times. Always in the summer. I remember all the fucking hornets there. My god I killed hundreds, and only got stun twice, thank God.
Spending the night in the middle of the crater, with the tree line lining the sky, was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The sky was so clear and vibrant. I could see stars, the milky way, everything more than I could ever before.
Planning on doing it again one day.
