For those who were introduced to /out/ by their fathers, what was it like? What are your most memorable experiences of being innawoods with your parents? Any special moments that inspired you to love nature?
~~~ Advice, stories, anecdotes and questions all welcome ~~~
I'm stoked to see my firstborn starting to get interested in the outdoors. It's mainly playing with leaves and sticks at this point.
I grew up in the city and didn't get into the outdoors until I went to university out west. I'm an avid climber/backpacker and used to sufferfests, obviously going to need to tone it down a bit with a little one in tow. Been mostly doing easy day-hikes for now, getting into mushroom foraging as this is slow going and fun to do with kids.
