Relocating to northern Indiana for work. Are there any good innawoods spots? I can't find a single tree on google earth in that place. Seems every spot is boomers in RVs.

Yeah seems pretty good, but it'll be almost 5 hours from me. Only spot in the north looks like the dunes, and that's filled with van glampers.

No, the northern chunk of the state is a desolate wasteland of cornfields and windfarms, and Gary, Indiana of course. The land doesn't get decent hills and woodland until about an hour south of Indianapolis.

First real job out of college and benefits are just too good. It's only a year rotation. I'll have a 1.5 yr rotation after that then should be able to pick location following the 1.5 rotation.

Also yeah others mentioned Hoosier National. There are also some other state forests in southern Indiana. Not sure what exists in northern Indiana besides Gary and Ft. Wayne, haven't been North of Kokomo/Muncie much so I'm not a lot of help for where you live.

I can't really speak for northern IN, but if you drive to southern IN it is much more hilly with lots of good camping spots. Lots of Caves and trees too.

Any particular parks/forests to find caves? I haven't seen many around Brown County, but I assume there might be more towards Evansville maybe? I know there are caves in Kentucky, so farther South might be the way to go.

I know you can do your own thing in Sullivan caves. I've heard a lot of others require you to take a guided tour.
