just wondering what out would do in this situation I'm in.
So my parents have about a square mile of land up in some mountains with a house and power and roads to access it and all that. I live part time in a part of the house, but it's pretty shit. There's no water or sewer because it was built in the 30s on broke ass iron miners budget, and I have to share it with others who live there full time and its just complicated. I fear they will burn the place down or all my firewood or something because they're idiots.

I'm considering the idea of going off to a remote part of the land and building a tiny home to stay in instead. Nothing shared, I'd be responsible and benefited for 100% of my efforts. But I would still not have water or a toilet.
But should I do that or should I just fix up the current house?
