>>1931356>be honest /out/, when's the last time you went outdoors?Years ago.
Since then I've been just buying new gear, letting it collect dust, sell it and then buy the newer stuff.
I think I've wasted about US$6300 in gear that never left the house in the last 3 years.
Sure, it's not much money, but for stuff that ends up sold at 1/10th of the price I paid for it...
>>1931385>I have fallen into the "trap" where I larp and dream and plan away at night, but when the morning comes I just can't be bothered going /out/.I've been doing that for years anonbro.
I spend hours on google earth/maps looking at trails and places.
Planing driving routes, planning hiking routes.
Then nothing comes out of it...
And it's not only with "big, exciting adventures on the other side of the country/continent/planet", even just small trails and dirt roads I find nearby that pique my curiosity.
And that's how I end up wasting money. "Well, it'll be an incentive to go out if I have new gear to try, let me buy a new backpack/lumbar pack/pair of boots/pair of pants/whatever...".
