>>1932933>What does /out think of barefoot shoes?Literally never seen them before.
I think shoes are one of the few things people shouldn't seek too much advice on, and just see what suits them.
#1 Comfort - is it?
#1 Suitability - Material/construction
That's about it.
Fucking comfy running shoe is no good on Everest.
Better running in a comfy boot than an un-comfy shoe.
I have wide flat feet and a fucked ankle.
I walk in mud and on uneven fist size rocks.
Need decent drop, wide fit, rigid sole, durable outer with full rubber rand, must be waterproof and breathable because it's always wet and muddy and/or fucking hot and muggy where I live. But I also go alpine in winter, so must be clip-on crampon compatible.
And I don't like a high boot.
You really want me to recommend you a boot?
But to answer your question... Just googled them.
They're probably something I'd be happy with in a pair of jeans around town or rural/on trail taking photos.
Look pretty good (would change laces).
Maybe ask more specifically
I'm typically walking on/off trail in _____with a little ___ as well.
I have _____ feet with _____ issues.
Carrying ____ weight in ____ season.
Also, while I'm writing a long reply... fuck "better gait". Just say I've got a shit gait, what works around it? Got to a shop that puts you on a treadmill and custom forms your insoles for $20.
Job done.
I'm getting another beer now, but that's honest years of advice from seeing "Kevin said Xxxx was the best boot ever, now I can barely walk" n shit.
What do I wear? The absolute shiiiiit.
for me.
