I'm interested in road kill because it's the only way i get to see some of the animals here. I've only ever seen raccoons and possums as roadkill. In my area there's always tons of deer on the side of the road, and because no one ever cleans it up you can see them inflate as it decomposes, explode and release all the maggots (fucking digusting btw), and then see it as nothing but skin and bones when you drive on the same road every day.
One time I was at a park and I saw three squished shrews all within 10 ft of eachother on a bike trail. I think they came out during a thunderstorm so they didnt drown in their burrows, but that meant somebody had to be biking in the rain and run over three of them. Strange
