>>1940142Shitty timeline, at least you have easy choices such as Alaska left.
>>1940167>>1940365>>1940376Do you have a source for that, anon? I would like to take a look into that.
I think we all grew up with these forecasts, pic related.
First off clever Americans have developed fracking technologies which allows to access gas and oil, contrary to traditional technologies by pumping chemical into the ground. That maybe be unattractive in areas where (many) people are living due to the heavy pollution but there are many areas where few people live. To make it clear to you: Unnoticed by the whole world the US 'solved' all energy politics. Just hire a American company to frack on your soil and most countries larger than Switzerland will have more than enough gas for 10-20 years at least, probably much longer. I bet that China is going to be a net exporter of gas and oil in twenty years when they exploit their western deserts.
Very very little of the oceans has been explored, offering more room for traditional and new fracking methods. I'm not saying that oil is never going to run out but I would be careful in believing the doomsday scenarios.
Besides that there is still synthetic oil, which can be created without crude oil. Here read that:
