>>1950025>Tell us about finding the body anon.Saw some boots poking out from between some shrubs. Dead body was obviously dead.
I didn't have a phone, so decided to finish my walk and report it when I got back - I was nearly done anyway.
On the way home, a few police and a photographer were there, so job done.
Boring story huh? But what are the chances.
Murders aren't a thing here, figured hypothermia or something. Saw in the news he'd been huffing butane which killed him.
>>1950405>I’m more curious about the grassYeah me too. I've got no explanation for that.
Thinking about it earlier, another thing that happened near where I camped - well about 5hrs away on next leg of trip.
I was off trail on a hillside. There has never been any mining, farming, or other use of the land.
Came across a set of about 15 concrete stairs to nowhere. No sign of building foundations or fireplace/chimney that you'd expect to see with it.
Thought it was seriously odd, borderline creepy, because why?? Also no road access, multiple river crossings, a bit of scrambling on all 4s at times, so there's NO WAY you'd ever carry cement in that far. Also it's all loam soil, so no gravel to mix either.
Years later I listen to
https://youtu.be/nhkgXOUDetc . (I often listen to these things to help me sleep)
Reminds me of this staircase. I don't believe most of the /x/ shit in these stories, but I know for a fact at least some of it's true, because I've worked with SAR a bit and have some good friends working for them that have sometimes said "The fucking strangest thing happened..." and they align perfectly with a couple of these stories - they must post on /x/ and reddit.
They're not just talking shit either - I've known them for years, and they always seem kinda freaked out when they've discussed this stuff.
