But keep in mind that snowshoes are rated for weight dependent on size, so if you weigh 195, let's say 205 with your gear on and then 245 with a pack, you're going to need snowshoes specifically for 245lbs. Those would typically be 30" snowshoes. I haven't hunted yet, but there's a spot about an hour south of my office that I snowshoe around in, and you can hunt deer there, so...
