>>1948295Work hard to set up blinds, feeders, clear brush, plant feed plot, learn to shoot, spend hours freezing your balls off in the woods. Finally get your first deer or an especially big buck. Be happy. Take picture to commemorate accomplishment.

I hunt small game as well but there is a huge difference between that and big game in elation and feeling of accomplishment due to the effort/reward differential between the two. Gets even bigger when you start doing back country elk, bear, mule deer hunts that require a shit load of more work and skill. Then theres the momentos of a kids first hunt, dogs first hunt, stuff like that. Nothing wrong with remembering good times and milestones through life.
