I want to buy some land for camping and building a cabin. Where in the USA can I find cheap land, abundant nature, and lax building restrictions? I'm thinking Arizona, Nevada, or Colorado. Pic related is Costilla County in the heartland of Colorado. Somewhere out West is my dream, but I don't want to go somewhere with harsh lockdown restrictions. CO may be disqualified.
It would need to be within an hour driving distance to Groceries, Hardware store, post office, and internets. I live in the Midwest now, near Chicago.
