They really very common with deer hunters and with wildlife researchers because then you don't have to go out and disturb the area once a week or whatever to check the photos. Combine them with a little 6v PVC panel and a SLA battery and for $300 plus data plan, you have a camera trap which will take photos for you indefinitely without needing to be disturbed unless the lens get shit on or something.

Notably it is to prevent easement by prescription that I require my neighbor's horse borders to come act me for permission to ride my trails and will ride out to trespass them and demand they leave if they don't.
Of course this may require documentation of this access that you don't have.
