I live in an area that has a high incidence of ticks with lyme disease. My dog frequently goes for a walk in the woods with me, and often wonders off the trail and goes into the brush a bit.

I'm not that worried about the dog. The dog has both lyme disease vaccine and a collar that is supposed to kill ticks. My question is it possible for the dog to pick up a tick and bring it into the home and spread to the people in the house? I don't think there is any vaccine for humans.

My friend had his heart stop because of Lyme and now I'm paranoid about it (he survived though).
