The black paint on the compass ring is what really gets fucked, mine is basically a silver circle on the edge now.

These were the original firemark gloves, I got them for a fucking STEAL at %75 off when they were phasing them out, the new model has a fingersensor bit on it. Best fuckin gloves I've ever owned though, tough as nails and have lasted me years handling burning logs, hot rocks, sharp rocks, all the good stuff. I think they are simply called "Firemark sensor" now.
