Obviously the trolling rods are for chasing lakers and walleyes in my boat, and all the 1 piece rods are for boat fishing various techniques and species in shallower water, the 2 piece rods are for canoe camping, bowling to friends in the boat, and stuffing behind the seat in my pickup for bank fishing; the cane pole, fly rods and ice rods are self explanatory.
