Feeling the need to be "fully in character". Not that he isn't who he portrays himself to be, because he 100% is that person. Very talented, very driven and ambitious, very skilled, and isn't afraid if being seen as "kooky" for his bigfoot beliefs. I don't believe in bigfoot, but I also haven't spent an entire lifetime in remote locations like he has. Also, on that same note, I assume that he isn't one to "play it up" for the camera or public perception, and is pretty true to who he is as a person. I think that Bear Gryles would have never existed as a TV personality had Les been willing to manufacture drama for the audience.
What do I know though, I've never met the guy.
