I'm not an adrenaline-seeker myself, I find that's completely unnecessary for me to get what I want but I could imagine the experience being enhanced by extreme mountaineering or tree/rock climbing, etc. I just enjoy being in the dirt and allowing myself to be bored in completely different ways than you can be bored /in/.
one of the best things about camping out is how busy you can be just keeping a healthy fire going and arranging your dinner and getting your sleep system setup and coping with wind and rain and the occasional bear incursion.
i always feel like a foreigner going back home in my muddy boots, reeking like dirt and campfire smoke, slightly hungover. i find it takes me a good 4-5 days to unwind properly during a holiday at home, but it only takes like 2 days out camping
