How do you stay fit while out? I want to go /out/ to find gorillas to punch, but I don't want my lifts to suffer. Also, how can I transport milk into the outdoors without it spoiling?
Any tips?

Irregular 2-3 day trips aren’t going to do any lasting damage to your strength or aesthetic goals. If you want to do a long thru-hike or something, it’s obviously incompatible with serious weight training. You have to decide which is more important to you.

I personally wouldn’t pursue fitness goals which limit my ability to take on outdoor challenges - but that’s my deal.

Lift big rocks up and down. I'm a poorfag who cant afford any weights and that's what I do. You can also do pull ups from tree branches and stuff like that. You just have to be creative

This. Long backpacking trips with big mile days every day kill gains. Stick to car camping so you can bring your baby milk with you

I just carry around a dairy cow on my shoulders. It's literally free milk and a great workout

Milk doesn't spoil as easily as you think. When we go kayaking with my buddies I always buy half a liter in the morning and store it in the boat through the day in 35 °C heat. I can always drink what remains of it at night.

Usually I capture at least two milky gurlhikers for milk on the good so to speak. Good big fat juggers full of milk i get it with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I do face-pulls tied to deer with a bear acting as referee, and get a sasqwatch to spot me when doing moose presses.
I usually make a gift of my milk girls for their help.

Do any of you actually work out strength training for hiking? I'm thinking about following one of these routines, leaning cloer to the strength training one because I'm afraid I'll end up looking like a twig if I just do the bodyweight workout. Do you guys have any experience with these?

Hike with heavy gear in a mountainous or hilly area. Bring lots of food. You will get that ice age mammoth hunter strength. Diversity in exercise will be good for your lifts, and better for your strength and health.

I like to take a gallon of milk on 2-3 day trips. I have 2 half gallon steel insulated growlers that I put in the freezer the night before, and I wait until just before heading out to put the milk in. The milk has stayed good in muggy 90 degree Kentucky heat, so I'm sure if you do it this time of year it'll be fine. I also would stick the bottles in a creek at night to keep them cooler. Only problem is the bulk of the bottles, but this will help your gains further. Also, milk on the trail seems to function similarly to fiber.

It's the outdoors. Just lift big rocks, logs etc and do calisthenics. Don't overthink it. You'll see some benefit from hard climbs anyway.
