Feeders and cameras are herd management tools. I post trail cams up by my feeders and I can identify which deer are coming and going routinely. I usually know which buck Im going to shoot a month or two before I shoot it. Old ass buck with a good rack thats already reproduced a bunch? Dead. Deer with a fucked up antler set? Weeded the fuck out. Doe with a fucked up jaw? Into the freezer the skank goes. The better you adhere to this the better the genetics in your local herd get and the better trophies you get.
It’s also just interesting. Last year I got a shot of a raccoon climbing up to steal corn from me feeder and a coyote running up and jacking his little nigger squirrel ass
