So I want to get some new shoes that are good for both urban stuff, and trail stuff, and good everyday shoes. Something that will last a while and isn't outrageously expensive. Is this achievable?
Is there a list of /out/ approved shoes? Or anything you guys can suggest me?

I have somthing like what's in pic, always wear waterproof socks when /out/.
Had them two years now, worn them every day for work, and one or twice a week for hiking or mtb'ing, still looking good.

Even harder for my Merrell Jungle Mocs, which I still will wear daily after over 10 yrs. They look like shit compared to new but the leather has taken on an interesting patina. Soles are getting very thin and am starting to feel rocks I shouldn't.

For $/mi, my Merrells rule.

Its hard to tick all boxes for urban/ trail/ everyday - well I guess that does depends a lot on what you do and what you like to wear. I guess most of my everyday /out/ stuff is never really that intense, so my urban/erryday shoes are NB 574s. /fa/ approved, comfy as fuck, good on your feet, and are rugged enough to cope with most everyday stuff. From gardening to walking day trails they're pretty good (unless its raining). I have a pair of waterproof Gondwanan boots that I use for long trips, bush bashing, hard hiking, or when its wet. I dunno, that combo serves me pretty well.

I picked up a pair of Merrell ProTerra Sport, some of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. Explicity not waterproof, but good for the light hiking and urban walking that I do most of the time. I think they look good for sneakers, but you might not find them fashionable, I guess.

I have also coveted Red Wing's Iron Ranger boots for a long time now, but couldn't shell out the cash for them. Might be worth a look for you.

You'll probably regret getting /fa/ boots because they probably are shit compared to a real boot. You're just paying for looks. As a lurker of both /fa/ and /out/ I feel I should point out how ridiculous you'll look walking down a city street in OP's shoes. A principle of both /fa/ and /out/ is that you should dress appropriately for the occasion. That is to say, do not wear Allen Edmonds Dalton boots on a multi-day hike, and do not use your ALICE pack as a school backpack.
Nevertheless, there are plenty of nice looking clothes that you can take /out/. I would call these "traditional work wear." Other than the Wolverine 1000 mile boot mentioned above, I'd recommend the Red Wing Iron Ranger (pic related). Both of these boots are more or less unchanged from their blue collar origins. Another contender for those on a budget would be the LLBean Katahadin Iron Works Engineer Boot.

As I've said, I already have a pair of "tough as fuck, heavy duty shoes"(well, boots)" I was just looking for something that's going to be useful for more then walking on a sandy beach, and I figured /out/ might know something about the subject.
Furthermore, I care what I think, not what others think; I think I want comfortable, durable shoes which I can wear regularly.

See pic. boots on left, old shoes on the right. I want something like the ones on the right, but tougher, much tougher. I found out these are basically bulky tennis shoes(tore apart after a while, and the soles wore through.)

Dude I have a pair of 20 year old Merrel Red Deserts and I'm still waiting for them to fall apart. They look like hell, but I can't wear them out enough to justify buying new ones. I don't think they make them anymore. I've already gone through 3 pairs of full leather hiking boots! Asolo, Technica and a pair of Nike Durangos.

Fashionable shoes are a lot of money and are fucking stupid to bring innawoods. the closest I could give you would be doc martens but even then they will get fucked up and look trashy if you wear them anywhere else. I just have a seperate pair of shoes for kicking it. Had a pair of Air Walk Doc Martens I got at a thrift store for fairly cheap.

Were comfortable with a full 60L barrel+bag lashed to it during portages ranging from 2 to 5km(mostly uphill, roots rocks etc).

Not sure about backpacking for long distances with them though. Maybe a little tad to heavy and 'bulky' with the big soles.

Seriously, you could have six pairs of shoes for those environments. You're probably never going to hike anything but flat, well-trod trails that people bring their toddlers on, so get your /fa/ clark boots or whatever and wear your sneakers or flip flops on your 2-mile trails, that way your clarks will never get dirty.

I do a lot of walking, and I normally walk the soles right off my shoes within three or four months. I decided to try New Balance because they're sweat-free and union made, and was amazed when the hikers I bought lasted for more than two years. They don't look any different than any other shoe, but the quality is just amazing. They're expensive, but they're worth it in the long run.

I've just started usinf gel insoles, two months so far so good. My feet never get numb any more.

I thought that untill i started using them.
Just buy one pair and you'll never go back.

Only two months in, but with them being rubber i believe they should last longer. Also i wear warterproof socks.

I was suprised myself. They do feel a little strange, like they are sweating or over heating.
I've worn them well over 100 days now in 30degree heat (UK) and rain. Second to last time i stood in a steam and a puddle by accident, real shithole of a muddy puddle to, shoes went in the washin machine kinda puddle. Still had to walk three miles back to the car, hour drive home, took them of and my feet were fine.
Once you get use to the feeling, like the rubber soles, you'll never go back.

Best two things i have brought in my life, apart from my car.
