Hiked all the catskills over fall, final hike going from wittenberg to slide I ate some shrooms.

>Make it to peak, soak up sunrays on hot rock, tear up a little bit and sit for an eternity with my eyes closed
>Eventually meander back to my car, exhausted and content

Yea it was pretty much one of the best experiences of my life. It worked so well, I think, because I planned it carefully such that I didn't have to think which way to go, only straight.

Jealous you got to see peak foliage from a mountaintop. I've been trying for a few years now with no luck on timing. This was the best I got.

>ride it out until the stars come out, cook a basic meal
>watch the satellites and shooting stars until we pass out

One of the best trips of my life, so rewarding and satisfying, wouldn't have been the same if it was a day hike on some bullshit trail, gotta earn it
