>>1971299Have you ever actually lived in a city? That’s the prime don’t-need-a-car environment. I was raised in the suburbs but lived in the city for several years. I had a car but often walked places when the weather was nice.
Now suburbs (where I am now) or a rural environment you absolutely must have a car. There’s nothing within walking distance. Even if you need food the grocery store is several miles away in rural areas, while in suburban areas it can be closer but possibly un-walkable and certainly not convenient.
