Multi day backpacking. They say meat goes bad after 2 hours which I don't believe but I wanted to hear some experiences and methods with packing and cooking raw meat

I just chuck it in my bag.
Steak is fine for the first couple of days, packaged bacon longer, processed sausages In packaging go a few days. They’re shit, but tasty a few days in.
Double Cheese Sizzlers are the go-to.

Should add it’s never super warm here.
So long as it’s kept out of the sun, steak would be fine a few days. Depends on your climate I guess.
