Otherwise Decathlon is always good value, not the 2s tents they're bulky and heavy but something like those:

https://www.decathlon.fr/p/tente-dome-de-trekking-3-saisons-trek-500-fresh-black-2-personnes/_/R-p-311346 (same but darker, can help if you prefer to sleep in absolute dark)
But desu it's a generic recommendation, these tents work well but we need to know the conditions you'll camp in. Extra windy, extra rainy, extra cold? For cold take winter tent/4 season tent, if snow you need the flaps. Car camping? Bicycling? Hiking? The bulk and weight will matter a lot in the latter but not so much for the former, and if you want light and small you'll need to pay up.
If you just want to try it out just get a cheapo tent, it won't be the best but if not extreme conditions it should suffice for some trips.
Also small warning as I don't know what you have yet, but sleeping bag and sleeping mat are more important than the tent imo and they can get quite expensive so if you didn't factor it in your budget, review your budget.
On another note, snow fell here these part few days (Wallonia) and it was truly beautiful, made me wish I was out camping in the snow.
