>>1977098Correct, idk. Dig a ramped slot that's half width of your pot and three to four times as long. The deep end should be from your wrist to your middle fingertip deep, approximately. Build a small fire, twigs and sticks, close to the deeper end and place the pot leaving a small "two-finger" gap. Experience with hole depth, fire size, and air gap will adjust cooking temperature.
You can also just make a tiny fire above ground and use metal tent stakes or rocks to support the pot.
