So i'm looking to get back into more /out/door stuff once more. Given that I live in the Lake District (uk) i'm in the ideal location to be /out/ & it's time I took advantage of my location once again. I used to be in cubs/scouts as a young 'un & I was always off camping, hiking, climbing and whatnot but as I got older I got a bit bored of it and eventually I stopped altogether.
Anyway i'm just wondering what trousers you guys use when you go /out/? Do you spend the extra money on engineered clothing or are you happy enough using budget army surplus stuff or any old trousers you can find? I guess it comes down to requirements right? For now i'll be mostly hiking, perhaps with the odd night or two solo camping somewhere before the winter REALLY gets fired up.
