incredibly bright and ugly alcohol stores sat right ontop of central roads (there's one that is neon yellow and bright red with all sorts of flashing lights, despite being the only liquor store in town)
see the same 2-3 carless guys walking or riding bikes to their jobs every day
get blackpilled when you're stuck behind an amish buggy for 10 minutes
wonder if you're going to have to go to the doctor or not every time you find a tick

drive 10 minutes in any direction and you're out in the woods, usually
most people commute back and forth to work, eat fast food, and then waste away in their house
people here are not very involved in the outdoors at all, the extent of them being outside is mowing their lawn
