>>1996423your call, NPAs aren't bulky, but I'd rather spend the money on a satellite phone to watch over a person in need than to leave them alone. who knows maybe they wake up and leave while you're gone
the epinephrine autoinjector is a good idea in theory, buy keep in mind optimal shelf life is dry, 15-25C, which they can easily exceed in winter on long hikes and in summer, also rain, humidity etc. Their shelf life is about 2 years and though after 2 they aren't suddenly useless, this will be accelerated by bad storage.
unless you have alergies i wouldn't carry one personally, and people with allergies will usually have one on them, however if they don't, it is their responsibility and you cannot go around packing everything for everyone, like insulin.
I do however admire your thought and willingness to help people. If you're close to the mountains, or not doesn't matter, I'm sure you have a red cross nearby that you can join as volunteer, in germany here closeby you could become a mountain resue medic in your freetime, and you'd not just learn a lot of extremely useful skills, you'd also be training a lot in the mountains and outdoors, with others and you WILL also get to apply your knowledge and help people if that's something for you, but I'm sure you could also volunteer in other medical fields in the red cross. just contact them via their website or call them and ask
