seen plenty of weird shit when I lived near Sundre. But then I used to drive out to on dark roads, lay on the roof of my car and listen to Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell, and look at the stars / aurora.
The acreage I lived on near Sundre always had shit moving just off the property line. At night the motion sensor lights would randomly come on, then when I'd go out to check there would be no footprints or animal tracks in the snow, or any signs of anything being there.
One night I found a secluded gravel road dark enough that I could see the night sky, I was out laying on my roof listening to the radio. The aurora was out and super low, I heard that if you whistle or snap it will dance. So I did, and I swear it came down to about 20 feet above me. Just then I heard a fucking loud crashing and grinding and clicking sound of rusted steel, like some kind of massive old machine. My hair stood on end and I slid off the roof, through the driver side window and into the seat, turned on the car and pealed the fuck out of there in one fluid motion.
I drove out there the next day thinking that there must be a fucked up oil well or one of those old threshing machines that something fell off of. when I found the spot there was nothing but open fields all around, the farm houses were way off, and no machinery around of any kind.
These days one of my camping buddies is a Blackfoot dude, he has some stories that would turn your short curlies white, but I can't really repeat them.
