>>1986175If so, sounds like he copied the Japanese garden/woods hatchet (it's used in Yuru Camp and in the OP's video), which is basically the same thing, but usually with a chisel grind, and it's a fairly old tool. Ontario makes a couple of these camp machetes, and I think Becker makes some silly looking thing too for "breaching".
It's a good idea, though having a point is more useful unless it's a kid or something and you don't want them to accidentally stab themselves (a slice can be an inconvenience, a stab wound potentially lethal or a long recovery).
