I've had my Esee 4 for around 6 years now and it's a very reliable knife. At the time I did a lot of research and it came out on top due to its price/functionality/durability. The only negative was the stock sheath provided (see pic). I really need to purchase a nice leather one.
I'm in a better financial situation now and have expanded my understanding on knives but can't justify buying a better knife yet as there is nothing wrong with the Esee.
I wasn't aware that Esee was considered a memeknife, probably due to my location and friendship circle. I honestly don't know another person who owns one or would know about the brand.
