From what I can see on satellite images, there’s a road that ends just short of a small creek, and continues on the other side, with no bridge across it. The creek is the boundary, and satellite didn’t show any gates or obstructions on those roads.
There’s a hiking trail nearby. My goal is to hike a few miles down the trail, head down the old forest service roads, cross the creek, see if there’s anything interesting in the area, and not be shot by an attack helicopter.
I’m hoping to spot some feral horses and feral hogs, the former which I’ve only seen once despite about two dozen hikes in the area. The trip will also include exploring other FS roads in the area, just because. Roads can be more fun than trails sometimes, and hogs and horses use them for the same reason we do.
