Most of the "restrictions" around here exist to keep thoughtless users from wrecking it.
You just can't allow people to cut down the all shade trees anymore around the campgrounds but people try to do that stupid shit all the time.
You can still file a mining claim on some of the local USFS and BLM land here and dig up every square inch of dirt on your acre, but there is the occasional "restriction" in place to keep some idiot from doing it at all the goddam campsites and trailheads.
