This feel happened to me in Boy Scouts
>be at Florida Sea Base doing Out Island Adventure
>fishing from floating docks off of Big Munson Island with about five other people including my dad
>sun goes down but there is a full moon and you can see everything
>watch my dad hook a three foot reef shark and reel it in
>decide to switch to the bait he was using and increase the amount of chumming
>within minutes I feel a huge pull and realize I've got a big one on the line
>fight it for about 15 minutes when it jumps out of the water and the moonlight illuminates it
>I see that the "big one" i'm fighting is a blacktip reef shark that is at least six feet long
>the_thing_scounting_legends_are_made_of.jpeg
>I keep reeling and fighting for about 20 more minutes until the line goes limp
>I quickly reel the line in and everything is gone: bait, hook, and shark
>realize I didn't put a steel leader on my line when I changed the bait
