I need help finding a good pack that can be worn with a gun belt. All my /out/ings involve me carrying a rifle and a handgun. I’ve fallen for the osprey meme. While it’s a good pack it’s just impossible to wear a belt let alone a gun belt with it. Need something that’s 40-50l

There's no good way to run a gun belt with a pack hip belt. You will get chaffing. I've tried.
Holster on the hip belt will work but then your have a gun flopping around when take your pack off.
Chest rig like >>1994640 said. HPG makes a nice one or you can go full tacticalretard and get a military one.

I know a lot of people say they are memes but I would get the savotta jaakari L. The waist belt is held on with molle webbing and functions as a war belt. It is also a good pack. I have used it for a while now and I really like it.

In the US, however, there are roving bands of coyotes, mountain lions, fucking alligators in some places, bears, wolves, and the list goes on. An unarmed human would never stand a chance against even a pack of coyotes, let alone a pack of wolves or an alligator, if taken by surprise. The American wilderness is a lot less tame than that of Europe, where the worst thing we can generally come across is a fucking fox.

I believe that mystery ranch and hpg both have some options with a Moller hip belt and this seems to be the option besides the hpg holster chest rig thing. A chest rig would be stuck under your shoulder straps and might bunch up under them. Might be able to find a jungle rig with mostly mesh though seeing as you just need a small section.

as stated above Hill People Gear solves your problem, either with a chest mounted kit bag, or one of their packs in use with their belts that have pals webbing on them. or both. I believe the Hills themselves often only keep their pistol in the kit bags when on more crowded trails, and pop it into a belt mounted holster the rest of the time.

Comparing car accidents and animal attacks is not a good example, anon. If the majority of people spent the same amount of time around dangerous animals, like they do with cars, there would be a significant increase in injuries and deaths. I carry a handgun with me backpacking for the usual reasons and I can understand why a person would carry a rifle (hunting, just backcountry shooting, defense, whatever), but its hard for me to imagine wanting to carry that much weight in just guns (never mind ammo). I'm not an absolute no-gun, I understand that the wilderness in the United States is second to none in Europe. And I myself would prefer to be armed if I had to hang around low.

Yeah, that is true. It's definitely a double-edged sword. However, I do believe it also has a lot to do with who has the guns. Switzerland and Norway are two of the countries in Europe that have the highest number of guns per inhabitant, and they also have some of the lowest murder rates in the world. It's almost as if people won't murder one another if you take away their reasons to do so.

Safariland UBL low ride is probably the way to go if you want to belt mount a holster under the waist straps of a pack.
Pair it with their QLS fork system.
It not only gives the waist strap more clearance, but also allows you to easily move the holster around to other locations if you so decide.
They even sell a QLS that mounts on Molle if your waist strap has that instead.
I would also recommend getting pic related for comfort while hiking with it.
