I was generally against using mil vests but I'm slowly leaning towards using them.

I want quick access to things like camera, binoculars, water, and a few other things, and customized pouches on vest give me that.


I also think about distributing weight more to the front. Like axe, knoif, water, cooking set, etc.
Because its kind of fucked up that all is on the backpack.
Back in my day I enjoyed that half the weight I carried was on my front, not on the back.
