However, most people I've seen discussing this specific picture seem to insist that it is indeed a German soldier. The Germans fought in the continuation war too. Against both the Soviet Union and Finland at one point.

It seems like the most likely explanation, as like I also said, they would do this shit to each other all the time. However, it could also just be a frozen corpse that got blown the fuck out by artillery or an air strike.
