OP there should be an atlas available on your state DNR website. Probably even an app with public land GPS maps. If you tell us what state we can even provide it for you. Park at the road. Walk in. Find a nice elevated spot with a good line of fire along a fence line or over an open field or creek bottom. Shoot. Don’t expect success your first time out. A big chunk of public land hunting is figuring out how to avoid the crowds, familiarizing yourself with the area and the animals, and a million other little things. Bring a back pack, nice fixed blade knife, some rope, trash bags, and some water.
