>>2015512Not really. This area has proper winters with below freezing temperatures most of the time, but it just doesn't snow that much and heavy snowfalls are rare. Even with a four month snowy season, the snow depth usually maxes out at around half a meter.
The whole lake freezing is also getting rare. It's been three years since the last time it was completely covered and it requires a longer period of cold weather and barely any wind for it to happen. In earlier years, there used to be ice roads on the lake, so that you could drive over to the other side. Saves a lot of time since the way around is really long.
