How do I wildcamp/bushcraft (aka LARP) in this god forsaken state.

What's stopping you from going off grid and why do you only camp at designated spots? It seems like you're not really from Aus if you think you can't get further than 3km from other people, unless you're a cityfag that's never left the city before.

I'm a massive autistic pussy when it comes to police/park rangers, so I have an irrational fear that even if I haul ass for 4 hours through dense forest I'll still be found as soon as I set up and have to pay fines.
I am admittedly a cityfag (not by choice, I don't have enough money to move), I have left the city plenty of times but I've only ever been to designated spots because above, so there's practically always another person in close proximity.

The one time I had a ranger turn up while out in a spot not meant for camping we had a fire going during a fire ban, he was just checking to make sure we were safe and gave us some water bottles. You're never going to see cops out there, they don't have much reason to be that far out. Just start going for hikes and spending time out there during the day, WA is a big area and there's loads of places that you'll never see anyone.

Can confirm. Police really don‘t care that much. Sister and her husband went wild camping with friends one day and got drunk, started to make a lot of noise so someone called the police on them. The police showed up, asked them if they are alright and then left again. They didn‘t even pack up their things and go to a different spot or anything after that.
