While we’re on the topic, i’ve got these oil lamps that use wicks and I barely ever use them because they stick so much. It’s as if the combustion isn’t complete and fumes just emanates from the threads or something idk, even when they’re not lit they stink. I suspect I could use a different fuel but I would know which one would be sentless.
I know they’re not the same as the ones you restaure but since you’re pretty much an expert I figure it wouldn’t hurt to ask
