the last thing I want to be reminded of is man when I try to get out of civilization
therefore, adding man-made artificial bs not only is an invitation to those of civilization to come and further violate nature as an open "welcome" mat, but it also completely destroys and corrupts all remnants of what is real in commune with nature
i get it if this is a common tourist area with millions of people falling over a cliff otherwise, like the Grand Canyon or something, but even the Grand Canyon rails aren't nearly as obtrusive as this vis-a-vis the risk
